Dates: Cancelled until 2010

Location: The Depot Conference Center
919 Old Henderson Road, Columbus, Ohio 43220

Some notes from the 2007 festival: There were over 6,000 attendees, 40 exhibitors, entertainers, and many new attractions. About 3,100 people of all ages rode the Scioto Valley Railroad which was the new miniature train shown. The refurbished Great Northern Ranch Dining Car brought to life the elegance of rail travel. Everyone had a great time sharing train heritage, model trains, music, kids games, entertainment, education and food.

Thanks to all the attendees, exhibitors, volunteers and sponsors for another highly successful Train Festival at The Depot.

Come on out and make 2009 an even greater year!

This is a community activity that features information for all ages and supports rail transportation and all the memories.

Steam Engine at Train Festival

Last year featured a 1/3rd scale live Steam Train for rides. As quoted...In the true spirit of the "Little Engine that Could," this steam train took over a thousand people for a ride.

Other features of the festival include exhibits, swap meet, railroad memorabilia, and sessions of railroad education.

You like model railroads? ... They have those as well as a tour of the 1880 restored Train Station, restored Vintage Caboose (original furnishings) and a 1951 Great Northern "Empire Builder" White Pines Lake Ranch Car. These are absolutely awesome!
