RiverFest in Columbus Celebrates and Educates

RiverFest in Columbus is a day of celebrating the Ohio rivers and waterways for their role in our environment.

Rock Climbing

It's also an educational day presented by Outdoor Source, a service of the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission. The community learns about facilitating restoration, preservation and enhancement of Franklin County's stream system.

Date: Saturday, May 31, 2008 from Noon to 5PM

Location: Genoa Park located near COSI, 303 West Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215

All activities are free and open to the public.

This festive event has been ongoing since 1999 and each year continues to grow. It's become a day of fun for the entire family.

Live music fills the air, you'll find arts and crafts, and plenty of food available throughout the day!

More recreational fun can be had rock climbing, boating, and canoeing.

It's a great day to be thankful for the benefits from the resources of our waterways and rivers. Not only do we drink the water, but it benefits wildlife and a lot of recreation fun.

I hope to see you at RiverFest in Columbus!
