LaScala Restaurant

I had my first experience at LaScala this past Sat. evening. It was the first time for me and several of my friends. A good friend of ours had a suprise birthday party there so we all drove from Newark to enjoy his birthday over what we thought was going to be a very good Italian meal. I loved the piano! A very talented man was playing and had a wide variety of music! Our waitress seemed to be completely overwhelmed. We waited forever to get our first round of drinks. We ordered a nice bottle of wine and after almost a half hour we had to ask somebody else if they could remind her about bringing it to us. Other people at the table gave up on ordering their second drinks and went to the bar to get them and bring them back to the table. Our food took over 2 hours to get and it was not even remotely hot. The only person who got hot food was our one friend and it was because her meal came over 20 minutes after everyone elses! Needless to say we were all very disappointed. The restaurant was beautiful and very clean but the service was in serious need of help.
