Easter LiliesApril brings us the celebration of Easter in Columbus. For many, it's a celebration of a special religious holiday.

It's also an official sign that spring has sprung... as the Easter Lilies pop up to brighten the earth.

It's a happy time for those that have been suffering from cabin fever.

Many families enjoy the day and spend it together celebrating with a meal.

Children are excited... it's time to hunt for Easter eggs and candy! And... to meet the Easter Bunny! There is something special about watching the little ones with their baskets hunting for the goodies!

Tour The Chocolate Factory

The Anthony Thomas Candy Company is holding an Easter Open House and Chocolate Factory Tour.

Visit the Chocolate Factory between 9am and 3pm with the kids. They'll have so much fun taking the tour and watching them make chocolate. They'll get to meet the Easter Bunny and Sunny 95's Mr. Sunny.

After the tour... free ice cream, but get there early before they run out of ice cream!

Oh ... kids will also get free Easter Eggs from the Chocolate Factory!



Eggstravaganza at Grove City Nazarene

The annual Eggstravaganza is all set up and ready to go from 9:30AM to 12:30PM at the Preschool Wing at the Grove City Nazarene.

It's definitely one of the community's favorite events for kids.

They pack a lot of fun things for the kids to do such as coloring and hunting eggs, face painting, games, cookie decorating, clowns, fire trucks, police cars, ambulances, and a petting zoo plus more.

The food court will have breakfast and lunch and you can get your child's photo taken with the Easter Bunny. (Prices will be listed there)

Admission per child is $4.00.

Join the Columbus Zoo for Eggs, Paws and Claws

MonkeyKick off the fun from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Columbus Zoo. They'll have entertainers, treat stations, and of course the Easter Bunny!

The kids will get to have fun watching the animals hunt for their goodies!

Entertainment and Costume Characters
Special visits from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Entrance Plaza and throughout the Zoo!

Pictures with the Bunny!
Pictures will be availalbe inside of the Activity Pavilion

If you're a member of the Zoo, they will have an exclusive night on March 21st. The Zoo will be announcing that information.

Non-members: Regular admission rates apply.



Shamrock Club of Columbus

The Shamrock Club will be sponsering an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at 11AM.



Easter EGG-stravaganza at Licking Park

You'll find over 6,000 special prize eggs and candy! There will also be games, a petting zoo, face painting, and pony rides.

Date: March 22, 2008 from 1:30PM to 5PM
General fee: $2.00
