NEW - Balloons Off Broadway
With 25-35 balloons annually and growing, this event promises fun for the family featuring tethered balloon rides, concessions and fair foods, kids activities, and an afterglow balloon glow with live music! Established over 10 years ago, Giant Eagle continues the ballooning tradition.

Brew at the Zoo
Join FRIENDS of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium for an after hours event that offers guests the opportunity to support conservation efforts while enjoying a great evening at the Zoo. Entertainment, food, beverages and prizes are highlights of this adult-only event.

Family Night at the Columbus Zoo & Aquarium
Throughout the summer, the Columbus Zoo stays open later on Wednesday nights for Family night and plans plenty of fun family activities.

NEW - Family Fun Flicks
New this year - Rhythm on the River will feature Family Fun Flicks.
Slated for August 8 and 15, Family Fun Flicks will present activities and attractions that are perfect for a family-friendly night on the town. Highlights include hands-on activities and a kid-friendly movie that will cap off the evening. From the squiggly and squirmy creatures of PT Reptiles, to the colorful creativity of the Columbus Museum of Art, children will have the chance to explore and learn while having fun.

Picnic With The Pops, Popcorn Pops and The Columbus Symphony
Notice from the Columbus Symphony: To our valued patrons and supporters, As you no doubt know by now, the Columbus Symphony will not be presenting its Picnic with the Pops series this summer. The current financial situation makes it impossible to present these concerts without financial risk that we are not currently able to assume. We are hopeful that our 2008-2009 season will go on as planned beginning next fall, and that we will return to the lawn of Chemical Abstracts next summer. We thank you for your support and look forward to once again presenting Columbus's premiere summer entertainment choice.

New this year - Rhythm on the River will feature Family Fun Flicks.
Set against the downtown Columbus skyline, the Riverfront Amphitheater comes alive each summer with talented musicians and dancers. These FREE performances are a great opportunity for everyone to enjoy an evening out with the arts.

NEW - Teddy Bear Safari
Date: Saturday, August 16, 2008 from 9AM to 5PM
Any child bringing a teddy bear or stuffed friend to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium on this day will receive free admission when accompanied by a paying adult. Children will be able to take their bear to Nationwide Children's Hospital clinic for check-ups and band-aids. Special bear programs and character appearances, as well as a free ADOPT an animal raffle, will round out this day's activities.

2008 Blow The Whistle on Asthma Walk
This 5k family fun walk will help raise asthma awareness and funds for local education, research, and advocacy. There is no registration fee, but each participant that raises $100 or more will receive a free Asthma Walk t-shirt.

The Grape Event is a fundraiser for the ALS Association Central & Southern Ohio Chapter which provides service programs for those diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) and their families at no charge. Columbus IndieClub Filmmaker 4th Annual Event
This event is open to the public - This event takes the place of a July Columbus IndieClub meeting. Bring your own food, that's not to say there won't be plenty to share, but it helps if everyone brings a little something (though it is not required). ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOL - Park rules. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash. Capacity is 130 (80 inside and 50 outside). Shelter has electricity, 4 outside grills, 1 double-grill, drinking water, large wood burning fireplace, swings, volley ball court with net and balls, and restrooms.
