About me ... I am Ann Gobel, the Owner, Author, and Webmaster of in-and-around-columbus.com, and a native of the Columbus, Ohio area.
This website came about because I love Columbus! And I wanted to share all the things that I truly enjoy in my own way through videos, pictures, and writing about all of the places I go to.
As a kid I remember many of the festivals around Columbus and every year we'd go down along the Scioto River and have a family reunion.
And the shopping... well back then Columbus was magical to me! All the stores (especially at Christmas time) - window shopping was a kid's dream.
As I started learning the process of building a website I discovered that I really loved doing this! I enjoy building Web sites so much that I enrolled in classes to learn more - and in 2007 I became a Certified Webmaster.
This opened the door to a whole new world of internet work and I've been very fortunate to design websites for people all over the world. I've worked with some absolutely lovely people and been able to replace the income from the jobs I had working for other people all my life!
It is possible to make a living on the internet - the problem is knowing where to start and who to trust. It's also important to know it takes work, time, and a small investment to start earning an income. Done correctly, it will work - I'm proof of that!
Since building the Columbus site I have also built additional sites and I've enjoyed every minute of it! Working for myself and doing the things I love to do are what life is all about for me!
Recently I've started a blog, Feisty's Tips that will be a fun and informative adventure. Right now it's pretty new but I'll be adding to it!
I've also created a website about The Glycemic Index Lifestyle Solution. This is also meant to be an informative site for people that need to eat more healthy and improve their health. It's something I've wanted to share for a long time because this is my lifestyle and I know it works!
I also have a diet review website. This is also something I know a lot about because I used to be a yo-yo dieter and I was on diet after diet. This is meant to educate about the diets available and hopefully assist people in choosing a plan that will really work for them.
